No.
4. How large is your company?
Startup Company -- very small.
5. Who is supervising this project?
Eamonn.
6. When are these supervisors available?
Open office; email for appointment.
7. What is their preferred contact medium (email, phone, etc)?
Email.
8. Is there anyone else we should speak with?
Personal resources?

II. Userbase
1. Who will be primarily using this system?
Three categories: Hotel Managers, Database Administrators, Customers planning vacations.
2. Their age range?

2-6: Variable, since the application is web-based. Cannot be said for certain.
7. Multiple languages?
English only.
8. Their familiarity with technology?
Variable. Assume low.
9. Will we be collecting user feedback?
Optional.
10. Will we be acting upon collected user feedback?
No.
11. How many users expected to use this system?
Unable to say -- hopefully many.

III. System
1. What platform will this system be implemented on (PC, Mac?)
Web-based; test on various browsers (Specifically Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer)
2. Do you have a language preference? (C, C++, Java?)
No.
3. Is this system web-based?
Yes.
1. If so, is there a present website we will be modifying?
No.
4. Is there a previous system in place that we are updating, or is this a new system?
New system.
5. Will this system be used primarily by customers or employees?
Three categories mentioned above.
6. What range of locations does this system cover?
3-5 Large cities in California.
7. From where will the required data be collected?
Hotel managers input hotel & attraction information. Logins processed by phone.
8. How many locations (roughly) does this system catalogue?
Variable.
9. What is the total rough distance this system covers?
The total area of the cities included.
10. Will additional locations be added in the future?
Possibly.
11. Will additional features be added in the future?
Possibly.
12. What features are you expecting this system to include?
Ability to search for hotels meeting user-specified requirements.
13. Do you have aesthetic preferences for the user interface of this system?
No.
14. Will users of this system have their own accounts, or is it all-accessible?
Hotel managers & admins have their own accounts.
15. Will users of this system be able to save their queries for future reference?
No.
16. What information will this system catalogue and display?
Hotel information & attraction information.
17. How will the information be ranked?
User-specified (Distance default?)
18. How specific should the results be?
User-specified specificity.
19. What types of information will the user be able to search?
Location, distance of appropriate attractions, hotel features.
20. Is security a concern?
For manager and admin accounts.
21. Will this system store any sensitive data? (ID Numbers, etc)
No.
22. Will this system perform any transaction type actions (purchases?)
No.
23. Does this system interface with any existing systems?
No.
24. Are there any special concerns you have concerning the implementation of this system?
No.

IV. Ethics/Legal
1. Do you have any contractual obligations concerning the locations included in this system?
Hotel managers pay for their position in the database. Therefore all clients must be represented equally.
2. Are there any legal penalties to consider for omission of locations/inclusion of locations?
Yes, if customers who pay to be represented are not serviced appropriately there are legal obligations. Therefore the database must be easily, accurately and quickly updatable.
3. Will any of your contracted partners expect preferential treatment?
There are no preferential programs at this time.
4. Are there specific companies/chains whose establishments will be included?
The system is open to anyone interested.
5. Are these companies paying in any way for their exposure with this system?
Yes.
6. Are we legally able to use the logos/trademarked properties of your partner companies (if any?)
Case-specific.
7. Are there any legal limitations on the usage of these logos/trademarks?
Case-specific
8. Are there any locations/companies that should be specifically avoided/omitted?
No. There are no restrictions on who can join so long as they pay for their exposure.
9. Do your contracted partners know about the existence/impending implementation of this system?
We have a startup base of interested companies.
10. Do they expect to be involved in this system's development?
No.
11. Should we speak with any representatives of these partner companies?
No.

Due Week 8-9.

No.

No significant checkpoints.

If required.
